Christiana Care Health System gets its share of honors. Just this week, it was ranked as the top employer in Delaware on Forbes’ list of “America’s Best Employers By State.”
Considering that it’s been recognized as one of the Top Workplaces in Delaware according to News Journal surveys for 15 consecutive years and recently ranked as a best employer in the Philadelphia region in the Philadelphia Inquirer’s 2019 Top Workplaces survey, the Forbes’ ranking, which names a top employer in each state, is pretty expected at this point.
Christiana Care’s #47 national ranking in Computerworld’s “Best Places to Work in IT” is interesting, in that it focuses entirely on IT and not the workplace in general, which, in the case of Christiana Care, includes a wide range of employees, including administrative workers, maintenance and, of course, all kinds of healthcare professionals.
“We are the caregivers behind the caregivers,” said Randall Gaboriault, chief information officer and senior VP of innovation and strategic development at Christiana Care, in a press statement. “There is not one goal, not one objective, not one target, not one question that can be answered or solution that can be delivered that doesn’t require the change to be supported, enabled, built, created and produced by Information Technology.”
Of the 100 companies listed in Computerworld’s rankings, Christana Care was the only one based in Delaware.
