Some of Delaware’s most recognized business names, including Carvertise, TheraV and NERDit NOW, got their start competing in University of Delaware’s Horn Entrepreneurship pitch competition Hen Hatch.
The Hen Hatch Finals, now entering its sixth year, is a big event that transcemends the university, with competitors pitching from the stage of The Queen in downtown Wilmington to a panel of some of the state’s top business people. Winners receive funding and prizes totaling $100,000.
This year’s Hen Hatch Finals will take place on April 30 from 5 to 9 p.m.
The event includes an Innovation Showcase of startups, where you can meet and network with most of the competing startups, including those that didn’t quite make it to the final round.
Hen Hatch has two tracks: one for students, and one for alumni and staff. Below is a list of the 2019 Hen Hatch semifinalists; there will ultimately be just three finalists per track.
