Wilmington's DelTech Plaza (also known as Humble Park) is getting a makeover as a “hub for the local arts scene.”

You’ve probably passed it many times without a second thought. Sitting at the corner of 4th Street and Shipley lies the forlorn DelTech Plaza (also known as “Humble Park”). It’s just kinda… there.
But that’s about to change, as Spaceboy Clothing’s David Sanchez and Downtown Visons’ Will Minster plan to transform the unassuming Wilmington park into a “fresh hub for the local arts scene.”
Spaceboy will curate, Downtown Visions will help with funding and staff.

The first events at Humble Park will be benefits for local artist Ramona Robinson and her fight against breast cancer:

  • On Aug. 25 at 8 p.m., Spaceboy and Southbound Comedy will present a free night of outdoor comedy in the park
  • On Sept. 1 (First Friday), Spaceboy will host Keep It Cool, a free mini arts and music festival, featuring The Headies, Tiger Suits and Lifestream.

Donations for Robinson will be accepted at both events.
