Delaware’s biggest coding competition is back: #OpenBracket

It's happening again. Online trials for the competition begin Aug. 4, with the finals taking place in Wilmington the weekend of Oct. 20.

One hundred of the best software developers in the world will land in Wilmington Oct. 20 for the OpenBracket finals.
It’s gonna be lit.
With over $100,000 on the line, competitors will be pitted against each other all weekend. As they battle for the top spot, they’ll have tons of fun opportunities to meet and connect with the local tech community (more on that later).
But first, competitors need to earn their keep, and starting this Friday, Aug. 4, thousands of coders from across the country will duke it out for their place in the top 100 on HackerRank.

The competition, spearheaded by Wilmington-based investor and Zip Code Wilmington cofounder Ben duPont last year, features the same group of partners as last year, including Tariq Hook of Zip Code, Zach Phillips of Short Order Production House, nonprofit First State Innovation, consultant Kirsten Wolfington and, yes, we here at Technical.ly Delaware.
In addition to a major overhaul in how the competition looks and feels, this year’s OpenBracket will feature twice the amount of prizes.
