Earlier this year we told you about how Great Dames is restructuring and expanding. But, fear not, the leadership org is still holding firm to its Delaware roots with a pair of empowering events for Delaware women. As a part of its “Powerful Conversations” series, two events will be hosted at Harry’s Savoy Grill on Naamans Road over the next two months.
Both events will kick off at 5:30 p.m. and will be moderated by the editor-in-chief of Wilmington University’s magazine, Maria Hess.
Nov. 7 — Igniting your Passion with Purpose

  • This session will feature a panel composed of News Journal staffer Robin Brown, campaign director Latisha Bracy, Milkcrate CEO Morgan Berman and WilmU career counselor Regina Allen Sharpe.

Dec. 5 — Creating Change through Policy

  • This session will feature a panel composed of Delaware democratic candidate for congress Lisa Blunt Rochester, Vision 2020 founder Lynn Yeakel, former Republican National Committee staffer Priscilla Rakestraw and Wilmington city council candidate Rysheema Dixon.

If you’re interested in attending, it might be wise to look into purchasing tickets soon. According to Great Dames founder Sharon Hake, tickets are running out.
