Power Moves: Ordway is bringing on a former ID.me exec for product innovation

Billing and revenue automation company Ordway tapped former ID.me executive Pradheep Sampath this month as its new head of product.

Previously, Sampath was the chief product officer for ID.me and head of e-commerce products for Spree Commerce. According to Ordway, Sampath will oversee the company’s product strategy, innovation and product roadmap, among other responsibilities. He will also be overseeing the launch of tools in self-service and workflow automation, plus offerings in business intelligence. The company will also be building out its platform to add new applications.

“Pradheep brings a wealth of experience building and growing new product lines at both market-leading and hyper-growth companies,” said Sameer Gulati, founder and CEO of Ordway in a statement. “I am looking forward to teaming with him as we continue to disrupt the market and displace legacy, subscription-centric providers with our new ultra-flexible platform.”

Stacey Page

Applied Insight announced this month that govtech executive Stacey Page will be its new president and chief growth officer — a newly created position for the federal cloud solutions provider. Page comes to the Tysons, Virginia-based company from previous leadership positions at SAIC, Engility and Leidos.

In the new role, Page told Technical.ly that she plans to build on the company’s cloud and cyber analytics products. Recent mandates from the government on cybersecurity and compliance, such as zero trust architectures and Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification, also “meet us right in our sweet spot,” she added. This means the company has potential for growth among federal agencies and the large players that work with them.

“Applied Insight has immense energy and intellectual firepower,” Page said. “My contribution will be to help the team cast a wider net to customers who can benefit from our offerings.”

Accenture Federal Services, an Arlington, Virginia-based subsidiary of professional services firm Accenture, has appointed Dr. Portia Crowe as its chief data strategy director for defense.

Prior to this role, Crowe held positions as the chief data officer for Army Futures Command, plus chief of cyber engineering and operations and chief information officer within the US Army’s communications and command arm. With Accenture, she’ll be assisting clients in data strategy, cloud strategy, advanced analytics and artificial intelligence decisionmaking.

“Federal leaders rely on accurate and timely data more than ever to optimize business performance,” Crowe said in a statement. “I look forward to helping Accenture Federal Services’ clients keep pace with today’s digital world, solve vexing digital transformation challenges, and achieve operational efficiencies.”

Here’s who else is getting a fresh start for the fall:

• The federal government’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency added Kiersten Todt as its chief of staff. Todt was previously the managing director of the Cyber Readiness Insitute.
• Former federal National Reconnaissance Office deputy director Frank Calvelli is the new senior vice president for Booz Allen Hamilton’s national security business, based in McLean.
• SANS Institute, a cybersecurity training organization based in Bethesda, announced Ed Skoudis as its new president.
• Arlington government affairs software company Phone2Action appointed Steve Liebman as VP of sales and Sherrie Mersdorf as senior VP of marketing.
• International defense, aerospace and security firm BAE Systems added retired U.S. Air Force General Stephen Wilson and former CIA director Gina Haspel to its board. Both will complete terms through April of 2024.
• Reston-based workforce optimization and professional services company Golden Key Group has named Blair Duncan as executive VP of federal innovation and transformation. He previously held roles at the Department of Health and Human Services.
• Herdon telecommunications firm NRTC appointed Tom Whitaker to a newly established role of VP for member operations.
• Cloud management platform CloudBolt Software, based in Bethesda, Maryland, appointed Robert Pakai as VP of sales for the Asia-Pacific market.
• Consilient, an analytics and financial crime company based in Arlington, announced Shawn Holtzclaw as its new president. Holzclaw comes to the position from global nonprofit The Knoble.
