The company also wants to bring in more advertisers, specifically small independent owners since that’s where majority of OCP’s advertisements come from.
“We are excited to become part of CoStar Group and the very successful Apartments.com network,” said OCP President James Jones in a statement. “This is an outstanding opportunity to expand what we have developed to service more students and universities across North America.”
CoStar is also the parent company for Apartments.com, a leading apartment marketing site. With this acquisition, CoStar will leverage OCP’s university partnerships to expand its college student services on the site, since OCP currently has 132 university partnerships.
