OpenTable’s parent company Booking Holdings Inc. has acquired Washington, D.C.-based Venga, a SaaS tech company that curates a guest management platform for restaurants and businesses.

Founded in 2010, Venga will merge with San Francisco-based OpenTable to improve its hospitality product GuestCenter, which shows restaurant seating availability, the Washington Business Journal reported. Venga said that OpenTables has more than 51, 000 global restaurant partners. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“It’s a natural fit,” Sam Pollaro, cofounder and CEO of Venga said in a statement. “Joining the Booking Holdings family will allow us to bring our comprehensive suite of tools – personalized service, targeted marketing, feedback management and actionable analytics – to thousands more businesses.”

This isn’t the first time Venga and OpenTable will be working together. In 2013, the pair formed a partnership when Venga launched Venga Dine, a product that integrates directly with OpenTable and allows restaurants to view and assess visit, purchase, preference, and social data from one dashboard. In 2017, Venga also launched Venga Move in partnership with MINDBODY to break into the fitness industry.

“Diners increasingly expect personalized experiences, and restaurants are looking for data to better serve their guests,” Andrea Johnston, COO of OpenTable said in a statement. “We’re eager to incorporate Venga’s services directly into our GuestCenter platform and help our restaurant partners deliver superior hospitality.”
