Growing Industries Month 2019

It’s Growing Industries month at Technical.ly. In DC, we’re focusing on cybersecurity

Why? It’s been a consistent topic on the Hill and there's an influx of cybersecurity startups nearby. Send us story pitches and learn more about our editorial calendar.

It’s April, which means we at Technical.ly have growing industries on the brain.

That’s the focus of this month of our editorial calendar. We’ll be exploring one particular industry for each of our four markets — and in D.C., that’s cybersecurity.

Why cyber? It’s been a consistent topic on the Hill (think Facebook and privacy) and there’s an influx of cybersecurity startups nearby. And with niche accelerators such as MACH37 and SparkLabs, the cybersecurity startup industry is only on the rise here.

P.S. We’ll be publishing a glossary of tricky cybersecurity terms later in the month; think offensive v. defensive, packet, breach, ransomware, phishing, DDoS. Email reporter Michelai Graham with suggestions of others to include (michelai@technical.ly).
