General Assembly is known for providing inroads into tech careers. At an event this week, the spotlight is on cybersecurity jobs.

Held July 26 at Alley the event is bringing together a panel of speakers to provide info about a career in the sector that works to protect data from attacks. The free session at the coworking space developed by Verizon runs 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

A frequent topic in the cybersecurity industry is the demand for jobs, as studies warn of jobs going unfilled. The event will provide insight on what a job in cybersecurity entails, the skills required, and how the need to secure data is affecting businesses, according to General Assembly.
