D.C. startup Aquicore is taking its data tools to monitor a building’s energy usage mobile.
The company’s recently-launched mobile app is designed to complement its platform, which allows building owners track metrics such as energy and water usage, as well as air quality.
“We are working hard to understand how to seamlessly incorporate building data into the daily routine of commercial real estate professionals to drive better action and results on a daily and weekly basis,” Aquicore Vice President of Product Mike Donovan said in a statement. “The new mobile app represents just one of many steps Aquicore is taking to better help our customers work together and optimize their buildings.”

The app allows users to monitor performance, and compare it against budgets. It also has tools for communication among team members, offering notes or photos on a project.
According to a release, the company sought to apply the look and feel of its web platform to the mobile version to allow for an easy transition between interfaces. The mobile app also has dashboards and predictive tools.
The app launch comes a couple of months after Aquicore rolled out new features to increase engagement with its platform.
