Want to speak at tech conferences? First you’ll need a topic, then a way to spread the message onstage in front of hundreds. And of course there’s the proposal. The list goes on.

The Yard: Eastern Market will host Global Diversity CFP Day on Feb. 3, joining dozens of similar events that day around the globe. The free event is designed to help new technical speakers organize their first conference proposals.

The event includes presentations from speakers and their advice, small group brainstorming and a panel on proposal writing.

“If there is something that you want to shout to the world we’re here to help you get there regardless of the boundaries of technology or communities,” the event announcement states.

The event will be held from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
