Quorum is crossing the pond.
The startup — whose customer relationship management (CRM) software tracks what’s happening in government both on Capitol Hill and in U.S. statehouses — is rolling out a new product for the European Union: Quorum EU.
“This is our first product built for an international market and the first time we’ve set up offices in another country, which makes this launch a huge step forward for the company,” Quorum CEO and cofounder Alex Wirth tells Technical.ly.
We chose Quorum as the No. 1 D.C. startup to watch in 2017, writing in February that the incoming Trump administration put a new focus the company’s legislation-tracking technology. A Politico piece also from February named Quorum among a crop of “digital disruptors” angling for a slice of the action in Brussels, which, the article notes, is “the consultancy market of Europe’s regulatory capital.” (Quorum execs are in Brussels this week for the European Trust Summit.)
The EU platform is the company’s fifth product, according to company reps.
“Our development team has worked hard to build a product that will allow public affairs professionals to focus on what matters and provide them with new tools to impact policy outcomes,” Wirth said in a statement. “As a bootstrapped company we have succeeded by listening to our clients and intend to bring that same approach to the European Union.”
