Sterling, Va.-based ParkMyCloud is a tiny company doing big things. The startup is essentially a “light switch for the cloud” that helps companies turn off their public cloud servers when they’re not in use (and in doing so save lots of money).

When we chatted with CEO Jay Chapel in November, ParkMyCloud had already attracted a healthy lineup of customer companies across nine different countries. Still, even a startup with a great service needs marketing help — ParkMyCloud is currently hiring a marketing manager to shape campaign messaging and create content.

Event management software company Cvent’s acquisition last spring doesn’t seem to have slowed hiring. The company is hiring for all sorts of roles at its Tysons Corner office — noteworthy openings include director of user experience and principal security engineer.

###

From offices all over the world Pivotal builds snazzy, cloud-native software for big companies, thereby helping them “create a culture of innovation.” As the company’s website declares it’s all about bringing the “Silicon Valley state of mind” to entrenched industry leaders. Sound like your kind of mission? Pivotal Labs is hiring a software engineer at its D.C. office.

###

It’s been almost one year since D.C. privacy startup Virtru raised a $29 million Series A, and the company is going strong in the hiring realm. Open D.C.-based gigs include security lead and front end engineer. If you, too, think privacy is a basic human right then you’ve come to the right place.
