UX designers are generally a divergent crowd — they may come from an artistic background, a more technical background or another background entirely. All the better for the multi-faceted career that is user experience design.
But this experiential diversity means its hard to know how various designers got to where they are and what their day-to-day work looks like. What are the pathways into the industry?
Join General Assembly for a panel discussion addressing just this.
On Tuesday, May 2 the code school will bring together three UX designers of three different backgrounds and day jobs to share how they got to where they are. Christine Steiffer of Octo Consulting, Jo Golden of Fjord and Daphne Puerto of Excella will all speak. The event also represents an opportunity to meet others who are trying to find their footing in the world of UX, organizers point out.
