For an early stage founder, hearing from founders who are further down the road on what challenges they faced, lessons they learned or things they wish they had known can be a godsend. With this in mind, the D.C.-born coworking brand MakeOffices is gearing up to host a speaker series featuring “successful founders” — it’s called Hindsight 20/20.
MakeOffices CMO Shana Glenzer said the inspiration for the series comes from reflecting on the company’s growth over the past couple years.
“We want to give back to the community by providing budding entrepreneurs, founders, creatives, and small business owners the opportunity to learn from the successes — and failures — of those who have been in their shoes,” she wrote in an email.
She hopes the events will give attendees with an “entrepreneurial spirit” some guidance on what lies ahead. The aim is that each speaker will be able to impart tangible lessons, and each meeting will serve as a place for #dctech community members to make new connections.
The series starts next week, on Aug. 10, with a morning presentation at the MakeOffices location in Tysons Corner by Siteworx founder Tim McLaughlin.
