Startup Leadership Program comes to DC [Events Roundup]

Plus: Winners of the U.S. Census Bureau's City SDK Challenge will be announced this Thursday.

This week, women can sign up for free coding classes via Django Girls and founders can learn about a training program for founders called the Startup Leadership Program, which will launch in D.C. this fall. And for those who followed the U.S. Census Bureau’s City SDK Challenge, the winning projects will be announced through a webinar this Thursday.

Startup Leadership Program: Info Session – Washington D.C. Chapter
The nonprofit offers a $525, six-month program that helps entrepreneurs grapple with the difficulties of founding a company. Classes will start in D.C. in September.

U.S. Census Bureau Celebrates Open Data Challenge Winners via National Demo Day
At this year’s National Day of Civic Hacking, the U.S. Census Bureau released an SDK and challenged civic hackers to make good use of the GeoJSON-enabled data, APIs and modules.  Here’s a chance to check out the winning projects.
