Yes, we know, there’s a difference between a coworking space and an incubator. For the purposes of this post, we’ll ditch that debate and just lump the two under a single umbrella: “hubs.” Hubs are environments where different companies or individuals work together in a shared space.
Here’s a list of all the hubs we know about that are open today in the D.C. area. Let us know what we’re missing — and see more details on each space listed below — in this Google Doc.
- Big Window Labs
- Cowork Cafe
- Creative Colony Spaces
- Fab Lab DC
- Flex Office Space
- H Street Greenhouse
- Impact Hub DC
- OpenGov Hub
- The Hive 2.0
- WeWork (Chinatown, Wonder Bread Factory and Dupont Circle)
(Hat-tips to iStrategyLabs and the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development for their helpful lists, and also to WAMU for a great feature on D.C. coworking spaces.)
