Here’s a list of the DC tech ‘hubs’ we know about

Looking for a shared work space in D.C.? Here's a non-definitive list you can help us out with.

Located downtown, OpenGov Hub was the part-time home of DC lead reporter Lalita Clozel.

Yes, we know, there’s a difference between a coworking space and an incubator. For the purposes of this post, we’ll ditch that debate and just lump the two under a single umbrella: “hubs.” Hubs are environments where different companies or individuals work together in a shared space.

Here’s a list of all the hubs we know about that are open today in the D.C. area. Let us know what we’re missing — and see more details on each space listed below — in this Google Doc.

  1. Affinity Lab
  2. Big Window Labs
  3. Canvas
  4. Connect113
  5. Cowork Cafe
  6. Creative Colony Spaces
  7. Fab Lab DC
  8. Flashpoint
  9. Flex Office Space
  10. H Street Greenhouse
  11. Impact Hub DC
  12. OpenGov Hub
  13. The Hive 2.0
  14. ÜberOffices
  15. WeWork (ChinatownWonder Bread Factory and Dupont Circle)

(Hat-tips to iStrategyLabs and the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development for their helpful lists, and also to WAMU for a great feature on D.C. coworking spaces.)
