The Wilmington Police Department wants a tech reboot.
It’s asking City Council to OK a three-year $309,000 contract with California-based NC4 Public Sector LLC for software that would allow “officers to share relevant, structured, and unstructured information in real-time through situation-based bulletins and police blogs,” according to a story from WDEL 101.7 FM.
Police Chief Bobby Cummings told WDEL the technology would help officers more easily share data, observations and information on patrol deployment.
