Check it out: the Williamsburg police built a giant public menorah

Innovation is not just apps and software. It's figuring out solutions, like how to have a huge hanukkiah outside your precinct.

One of the messages of Hanukkah is making more with less, and with that in mind, kudos to the coppers of the 90th Precinct in Williamsburg.

In order to bring in the holiday, the precinct built a nifty hanukkiah out of PVC pipe and lightbulbs.
The 90th Precinct covers south and east Williamsburg. With the precinct’s enormous population of the Hasidim, it is likely among the most heavily Jewish precincts anywhere in the world.
