For all the talk of transit problems in New York there is one mode of transportation rarely used, and it’s the most visible of them all: buses.

For those interested in how bus travel can be improved and what role it will play in New York City’s transit future, Bushwick mapping startup CARTO will host a happy hour July 25 called Buses, Beers and Bytes.

“Hear from leading voices in the effort to upgrade New York City’s bus network and get a behind-the-scenes look at some of the solutions that can help make buses faster and more reliable,” according to the event’s invitation.
