Here’s a chance to talk with Delaware lawmakers about gun reform

“If you have time to worry about gun violence, you have time to do something.” Sunday, Feb. 25 from 5:30–7 p.m.

The latest school shooting in Florida has left the nation in mourning once again — but this time, the survivors have managed to change the the post-shooting narrative. Social media savvy teens from schools all over the country are not letting anyone tell them it’s “not the time” to talk about gun reform.

If this cause is important to you, this is the time to get actively involved, whether you’re a teen or an adult.

Community gun reform activists are hosting “Join the Conversation: Time to Act to End Gun Violence” on Sunday, Feb. 25 from 5:30–7 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Newark.

The discussion will include Delaware Rep. Paul Baumbach and Rep. David Bentz, as well as representatives from Sandy Hook Promise, Moms Demand Action and Delaware Coalition Against Gun Violence.

Teens and preteens are welcome to join the discussion or create personal banners, signs and messages to share with policymakers.

This is a free event.
