Peek, a marketplace for local activities that’s already made it to 14 cities around the country, launched in Philly this month.
The San Francisco-based startup feels similar to Sidetour, another company offering “unique experiences” that launched in Philly in March, except that Peek offers more events outside of Philly itself. There’s a kid-friendly tour of the Crayola factory in Easton, Pa. and surfing classes in Atlantic City, but also plenty of Philly-centric activities, too, like a bike tour of Philly’s murals and a beer walking tour.
Peek won’t have any employees on the ground in Philly, said spokeswoman Francesca Barber.
