The Open Data team is a joint venture between Mayor’s Office of Data Analytics (MODA) and the Department of Information Technology and Telecommunications (DoITT) and has a nice mission: “We believe that every New Yorker can benefit from Open Data, and Open Data can benefit from every New Yorker.”

Last year we had a great interview with Stefaan Verhulst, of the GovLab, about how open data can improve the world from the local to international level.
