After trying it out in July, the Emerging Technology Centers has decided to make its networking happy hour a monthly event.
The Techy Thursday Happy Hour will be held next on Thursday, Aug. 14 at the ETC’s Haven Street incubator, and the third Thursday every month after that, according to a release.
“As part of our outreach strategy we want to connect entrepreneurs, startups, investors, angels, business mentors, universities and the Baltimore tech community at-large,” Jackie Albright, ETC’s community and program manager, said in the release.
The happy hour is free to attend, though attendees are asked to RSVP online.
In addition to brokering connections and providing brews, the ETC may also include other local businesses.
“From great restaurants and chefs, to breweries, to farmers markets, to universities, the idea is to bring the Baltimore community together and find commonalities that tie us together, primarily, the notion that technology and innovation are necessary to make communities great and to keep our city growing and its citizens making a difference in our great state,” Jorge E. Castillo, ETC’s chief marketing officer in residence, said in the release.
