Behold the beauty of every NYC cab ride in a day mapped out

See the ebbs and flows of rush hour, and the JFK and LaGuardia hubs in action. It's the work of Brooklyn-based grad student Will Geary.

Will Geary's "NYC Taxi Trips" map.

Check out this beautiful piece of data visualization, which maps out every yellow and green cab ride in real time on a given day in New York.

The map, NYC Taxi Trips, comes from Will Geary, a Brooklyn-based grad student at Columbia University’s data science department.

Geary said the data comes from just a randomly picked day, in this case Jan. 3, 2015.

Geary’s past work has included mapping out the city’s daycare deserts.
