WeWork Dumbo Heights is throwing a party tonight

On the guest list: pizza, beer and Q-Tip.

Alas, no mention of Moët and Alizé. (Screenshot)

Coworking empire WeWork has only been in Dumbo Heights for a few months, but it certainly knows how to make a splash.
WeWork Dumbo Heights is hosting an event Thursday night called “Hip Hop and Pizza,” which will feature free local pizza, free local beer and a DJ set by rap legend Q-Tip.
Plus, the listing states: “The event will start with a few words from Adam Neumann, CEO of WeWork, sharing candid insights into his experience growing WeWork.”
While RSVPs for this event closed in a matter of hours — it’s funny how free beer and pizza plus a well-known musician can draw a crowd — it’s obvious that WeWork is working hard to endear itself to the community in Dumbo. In recent months, the coworking giant has been ensnarled in an ugly labor fight with its cleaners.
