The DUMBO Improvement District and United Photo Industries put up the new public art display, Geolocation: DUMBOWednesday. The display will wrap around 190 feet at the corner of Washington and Prospect Streets, near the approach to the Brooklyn Bridge.

To make the piece, Nate Larson and Marni Shindelman, selected Tweets from the neighborhood by looking at publicly available metadata, then went to the location of the tweet and took photos. The publicly displayed artwork will pair the photos the artists took with the text of the tweets that they found. The team has created Geolocation art projects in eight other locations around the world previously.
