Update 1/28/13 12:16 p.m.: LikeBowl.com has since been updated. Now, instead of scoring points per “Like” and “Share,” Ravens and 49ers fans must tally a predetermined amount of likes and shares. As of this update, Ravens fans still have to “kick” 89 more field goals.
On Sunday, Baltimore’s beloved Ravens will play the San Francisco 49ers — and brothers Jim and John Harbaugh will face off — in Super Bowl XLVII. (That’s 47 for you non-Romans out there, and “HarBowl” for Baltimore residents.)
But in the week ahead, there’s a different game to be won to see which team has more support on social media.
Contributing to that cause is LikeBowl.com, built by Owings Mills-based Foxtrot Media and sponsored by Pikesville-based PR agency Evolve Communications. Ravens and 49ers fans can “Like” and “Share” their respective teams’ scores. For every five likes, a team adds a field goal to its point tally. A touchdown is scored with every two shares.
