Paul Cheung is a mission-focused leader with over two decades of experience driving innovation at the intersection of media, technology, and social impact. His career spans leadership roles at major organizations including the Center for Public Integrity, Knight Foundation, NBC News, The Associated Press, The Miami Herald and The Wall Street Journal where he has championed initiatives in inclusive storytelling, technology adoption, combating misinformation, and fostering organizational change. Currently, Cheung serves as a Strategic Advisor for organizations like Hacks/Hackers and the Online News Association, developing strategic frameworks for AI adoption in journalism. He currently serves on the boards of The Literacy Lab and The Institute for Independent Journalists. A graduate of NYU with a Sulzberger Fellowship from Columbia University, Cheung brings his perspective as a Chinese immigrant to his work, consistently advocating for inclusive storytelling and cross-cultural understanding in media.
