John Nay is leading a research project on A Legal Informatics Approach to AI Alignment as a fellow at Stanford CodeX. John is also the founder and CEO of Nomos AI and the cofounder and chairman of Brooklyn Investment Group.
As a Ph.D. student at Vanderbilt University, he conducted AI research funded by the U.S. National Science Foundation and the U.S. Office of Naval Research. After Vanderbilt, he was a postdoctoral research fellow at NYU. As an adjunct professor, he created the first AI course at the NYU School of Law.
