The final session of the Learning Innovation Conversation series from Drexel University’s ExCITe Center, focusing on neuroscience, is happening Jan. 30.
The talk will feature Melina Uncapher, neuroscientist and director of education at Neuroscape, a translational neuroscience center at the University of California, San Francisco. The researcher, whose work has focused on how attention affects learning and memory, will speak to leading trends in neuroscience learning and memory research, and their applications for solving real-world problems in education and technology.
RSVPUncapher leads a multi-university network, funded by the National Science Foundation, which studies how executive function and cognitive control contributes to academic achievement in middle childhood.
In addition to her scholarly work, she’s the cofounder of a California-based nonprofit called the Institute for Applied Neuroscience, working to connect public and private organizations with information generated by academic researchers, in support of evidence-based decision-making
