Learn how to transform the way you think at the annual Wharton Web Conference on July 30.
This year’s conference, themed “Transforming the Way You Think,” will host actress and web series creator Felicia Day as its keynote speaker. Other highlights from the programming include:
- Wharton professor Jonah Berger on how things go viral
- Weblinc front end developer Catherine Farman on responsive design
- Entrepreneur Anil Dash on what the web can learn from cities
New organizer Maria T. Sciarrino had the idea to include a “culture” track, which includes Berger and Dash and which has had major appeal for first-time attendees, said former conference co-chair Tim Allen.
We noted that women speakers are also fairly well-represented: about a third of the speakers are women. Getting more women speakers at tech conferences is one way women in Philly’s tech scene have moved to close the gender gap.
