Women just one year out of college make 82 cents for every dollar that’s paid to their male counterparts, a recent study found. The Levo League, a New York City startup that recently launched a Philadelphia chapter, hopes to change that.
Backed by high-profile women in tech like Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg and Gilt Groupe chairwoman Susan Lyne, The Levo League is a social network that offers career advice and job listings for women. It also throws networking events for its members.

The Levo League won’t have any paid staffers on the ground in Philly, said community manager Maxie McCoy, but it will have two local volunteer community leaders.
