Florence Nightingale would be proud.
That’s the feeling behind the new documentary Nurses — If Florence Could See Us Now, screened by Drexel University Online earlier this month. The film “showcased the complex and challenging world of nursing” with an eye toward new innovations, said Drexel University Online spokeswoman Sabrina Ram, .

Here’s Ram on the main tech-relevant takeaway from the film:
A key nod in the film was how technology advancements have exponentially grown the nursing field and nurses’ capabilities, allowing them to provide better care and increasing their responsibilities. More than 100 nurses across nine states were interviewed to represent the many different roles nurses play in our society. The documentary featured several nurses from the Philadelphia region, showcasing the significance of nursing in the local area.
