What’s new with the documentary web series that aims to chronicle the growing Philly tech scene?
Perhaps most notably, the project now has a name: Developing Philly, which was first announced during Philly Tech Week but now has become official.
Lauren Galanter, who works at Comcast Interactive Media as a video specialist, came up with the name, says co-producer Maurice Gaston.
Here’s what else is new since the spring, when we last covered the project: Co-producers Gaston and David Dylan Thomas have been steadily posting teaser clips from the web series on their Vimeo site. Check out interviews with Philly Startup Leaders co-founder Chris Cera, Wharton Computing’s Timothy Allen and UX specialist Maria Sciarrino.
Thomas says they still plan to launch the series in the fall, and it will still be in a “season” format, with about five 10-minute segments in Season One.
