From World Usability Day to BarCamp and nearly a dozen other events, the events calendar should have something for everyone. Alas, dear reader only three can be this week’s event highlights.
This week: Barcamp strikes back, Net Tuesday gets political and PACT holds its trademark event.
Tuesday, November 9th and Wednesday, November 10th: Rising form the merge of the MAC Alliance and the Eastern Technology Council the Greater Philadelphia Alliance for Capital and Technologies or “PACT” is ready for its coming out party. IMPACT is the new group’s signature event all about the nitty gritty of raising capital. Even if you aren’t into that kind of thing, check out keynote speaker David Kirkpatrick, author of the Facebook Effect. Center City. Two days. [INFO]
Tuesday, November 10th: Our own Christopher Wink will be on hand to talk technology and politics in the wake of last week’s election. The conversation is set to focus on net neutrality and the event will be live streamed. Center City. 6:30 p.m. [INFO]
Saturday, November 13th: The third annual unconference is an oft-quoted source of inspiration for many in the region’s entrepreneurial and technology communities – so don’t miss it. Last year we surmised that BarCamp indicated that Philadelphia was ready for a leap forward so we’ll be ready to see if this year’s BarCamp proves our hypothesis. See you there.
