It’s that time of year, Philadelphia. Candy canes, snow and presents should have you thinking of one thing: tech events.
Well, maybe that’s just the staff of Technically Philly. However, despite our love for tech, our calendar is feeling the effects of the holiday season with only two events to speak of.
First, The Philadelphia User Group reps the west side and chats maps in the ‘burbs and Hive 76 hopes you attend its open house before settling in for the holidays.
Details for both after the jump along with a special South Philly Christmas poem.
Monday, December 21: Head on out to Malvern to hear speaker Brian Stempin, research assistant at Temple University, talk GIS with the PLUG West crowd. According to his LinkedIn profile, Stempin has open source chops as well. Someone call Avencia. 7:00 p.m. Malvern. INFO. [view more events]
Wednesday, December 23: Hacker space Hive 76 tries to squeeze in an event right before the holiday with its weekly open house. We recommend you attend, at the very least, to get some sweet last minute gift ideas as written about in the Philadelphia City Paper by our very own Brian James Kirk. 8:00 p.m. Callowhill. INFO. [view more events]
Because we were unable to give your promised slate of three highlighted events, please accept our humble apologies with this South Philly version of a “Night Before Christmas.”
