UMB, MedImmune enter $6M partnership for bioscience research

"MedImmune and UMB will both contribute funding and scientists to work on joint research projects."

Gaithersburg-based biotech firm MedImmune and the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB), have embarked on a five-year, $6 million partnership to push bioscience research in Maryland.
According to a press release:

MedImmune and UMB will both contribute funding and scientists to work on joint research projects, and will provide opportunities for scientific exchange and educational training between MedImmune and UMB scientists, students, and post docs.

MedImmune is contributing $5 million to the fund, with the remaining $1 million coming from UMB.
