Dominick Murray was confirmed by the state senate as the secretary of the Department of Business and Economic Development.
The vote, taken Friday, “was unanimous in favor, 45-0,” according to MDBizNews. In December, Governor Martin O’Malley appointed Murray to head up DBED when then-secretary Christian Johansson announced he was stepping down to take a position with Laureate Education based in Harbor East.
Murray, who had been deputy secretary of DBED, was among the officials present when the state’s Central Business Licensing System was officially unveiled at Federal Hill-based incubator Betamore in January, as Technically Baltimore reported.
