Sunset Park office complex Industry City is getting a couple of splashy new tenants: the NBA’s Brooklyn Nets and magazine publisher Condé Nast will both be taking space.
The additions are another win for the $1 billion development project along the river in south Brooklyn.
The Nets, or more specifically, Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment (which also manages the Barclays Center, Nassau Coliseum and business operations for the NHL’s New York Islanders) will take a massive 70,000-square-foot office, in which more than 350 employees will work. The space will be below the Nets practice facility, which moved to Industry City two years ago.
Condé Nast will open a 6,000-square-foot video studio for its Food Innovation Group, which produces content for Bon Appétit and Epicurious.
The company said it wanted to locate some of its operations in Brooklyn, where many media folks (hi!) live.
