There’s an artificial intelligence–themed band and they’re playing a show in Williamsburg next weekend

Lullabies for AI is what they’re called, and despite AI being in their name, it’s an all-human band.

And if you’re a reader of Technical.ly Brooklyn, some of the names might be familiar to you. Lullabies for AI is made up of Cassie Tarakajian, Amelia Winger-Bearskin and Eamon O’Connr. The band has two shows, one at Pete’s Candy Store, by McCarren Park, in Williamsburg, on April 22 at 5 p.m. and the other at Shoestring Press, in Crown Heights, at 10 p.m.

We caught up with Cassie Tarakajian last year. The former Pioneer Works fellow described how she’s working with new media, like virtual reality, to create new ways of storytelling and sharing emotion. She works at DBRS Labs, founded by her bandmate Amelia Winger-Bearskin, which works with coders and designers in the world of financial technology.

For her part, Winger-Bearskin seems to have moved on from DBRS Labs and is the director of I.D.EA. New Rochelle, an arts space in New Rochelle, N.Y.

Winger-Bearksin is the cofounder of the much beloved Stupid Shit No One Needs and Terrible Ideas Hackathon.
