A husband-and-wife design team, CW&T, has designed a new take on the carabiner, the beloved belt clip that holds your keys (and opens beers sometimes).
The product is called the Key Wrangler, and it launched on Kickstarter yesterday. On the Key Wrangler, the clip of the carabiner is shortened and a rectangle for holding keys is added, which CW&T says will make the product more organized for holding keys.
“A couple years ago we were at an art residency at Pier 9 Autodesk and a few friends were making some pretty cool keychains using the waterjet machine,” the couple write on Kickstarter. “We thought it was a fun exercise, so we started experimenting. After making complicated + difficult to manufacture pens, we thought it would be great to try and make a product that only required a single manufacturing process.”

CW&T is Che-Wei Wang and Taylor Levy, who have run their own small design firm in Brooklyn for the last several years. This is their fifth Kickstarter campaign. Their last one, a series of 3D-printed pendant lamps, raised a whopping 12,000 percent of its Kickstarter goal.
This one runs until April 21.
