The video content marketing company Humblee won last night’s Make It In BK pitch competition, taking home $5,000 and the respect of some of the biggest names in the Brooklyn business ecosystem.
The problem that companies are encountering more often is the difficulty of staying relevant on Google. The algorithm favors those who are producing content, such as blog posts, and founders don’t always have the time to be writing posts about what they’re doing.
The other digital behemoth’s algorithm, Facebook’s, strongly favors video content, which most people don’t have the expertise to do well. So Humblee attempts to find a solve for both problems, offering companies outsourced video content from professionals. For $500 a month, Humblee’s workers will whip up a shareable video every week.
“In the past six months, we’ve built a community of over 100 videographers, animators and editors, we’ve made $15K in revenue, and we are growing quickly,” said cofounder Aneri Shah said.
