VHX integrates with Bigcommerce, matching digital copies with physical ones

The partnership allows filmmakers to sell DVDs and digital copies in one fell swoop.

Filmmakers who are selling both physical DVDs and digital versions can now do both at once using VHX, according to an announcement Tuesday. Filmmakers using Bigcommerce to manage orders can now sign up for VHX integration, so that a purchase of a physical DVD can also come with a digital version. Motorcycle movie site Choppertown said that integrating with VHX increased its sales by 20 percent, according to the announcement.
Here’s VHX’s pricing for adding a digital version, according to Bigcommerce:

VHX charges you (the store owner) based on the following tiered pricing per month:
First 5,000 – $0.50
Next 20,000 – $0.35
Next 100,000 – $0.25
Next 250,000 – $0.15
