Listen to the first track of J.Viewz’s new mixing-in-public musical project

Give a listen to the first track in an open album-making process from the local musician and digital experimenter.

If you preorder his next album-in-the-making, you can download the first track from J.Viewz’s website, The DNA Project.

True to the promise of the project, which we wrote about here, the artist is experimenting with letting fans in on every track that gets mixed together. In fact, not only can you download this new song, but you can also download it in parts, to make a remix.

Check out the song on his site, which also shows you different external influences that gave him ideas for different parts of the song.

It’s not usual for an artist let you see how the proverbial sausage is made. We hope it works and inspires more startups and tech companies to follow suit.

The DNA Project was successfully funded on Kickstarter in mid-October.
