Another coworking space opens well outside Brooklyn’s Tech Triangle

We view coworking spaces as the frontline of the innovation economy. While not every coworking space necessarily yields an innovation neighborhood, you’ll be hard pressed to find one without a coworking pioneer. That’s why it is noteworthy that a new space has popped up in Bed-Stuy, according to DNA Info.

“The goal is to bring people together who would not normally come in contact with each other, and find out how to make something happen,” [owner Jason] Johnson said.

The 1,200-square-foot loft industrial space boasts cubicles with large desks and chairs, as well as a conference room table that can be rented out for meetings.

Prices on the space range from $29 a day to $249 a month for Monday through Friday access. A premium membership featuring 24 hours a day, 7 days a week access costs $299.

Located at Nostrand and Park Avenue, Confluence Coworking can be found just northeast of Marcy Playground. Along with Brooklyn Research, it’s the second coworking space we know of in the neighborhood. Brooklyn Creative League has said that it has a space in the works there and the street level Dean Machine opened not far off, in Prospect Heights.
