The Brooklyn Tech Triangle is looking for local firms to participate in its summer paid internships program, which places local students in tech firms for the summer. We all know that interns can add stress to an organization, but this program has some advantages:
- Interns go through a week-long professional development seminar before starting, getting them ready for the internship.
- Ten minute interviews and no need for follow up calls. The program will place interns with your firm if you have a match (sort of like speed dating).
- Interns are studying tech, so they will have real skills.
- The program pays the students $15 per hour, so your firm doesn’t need to.
The online brochure for the event says that 19 companies participated last year, with quotes about their inters’ experiences from staff at CommonBond, Electric Literature, Levels Pro and Ice Stone.
