With more than 1,000 member organizations from over 90 countries, UBI Global provides matchmaking, ranking, benchmarking and research services to corporations and business incubation programs.
Local social impact incubator SEED SPOT was recognized as a global top-five private business accelerator and as one of three most promising social innovation programs by UBI Global. CEO C’pher Gresham was present to accept the awards and spoke at multiple sessions during the World Incubation Summit.
“I am incredibly thankful for every entrepreneur in the SEED SPOT community that has a dream and is bold enough to bring it to life,” Gresham said in a statement. “The recognition by UBI Global is a testament to our tireless team, board, mentors, partners, and funders that support hundreds of impact-driven entrepreneurs annually. We’re excited to continue the momentum and support innovators making positive change around the globe.”
To rank awardees, UBI Global annually assesses and benchmarks incubation programs globally and publishes it in its World Benchmark Study. Programs were “recognized for outstanding performance in nurturing entrepreneurship and innovation.” The company announced that 364 programs from 78 countries shared data to be assessed in the 2019-2020 study.
“Our World Benchmark Study 2019-2020 is in tune with the multiple facets of the international incubation ecosystem and illustrates key challenges and opportunities faced by the participating programs,” Holger Meyer, director of research at UBI Global, said in a news release.
These accolades come after SEED SPOT recently closed applications on its 2020 Impact Accelerator program, will run from Jan. 27 to April 24. Here’s a success story from My Active Senior, a startup that went through the program previously.
