Insightin Health announced a new partnership Tuesday with Ontario-based BrainFx, a company that curates a comprehensive “neurofunctional assessment” that delivers a profile of strengths and challenges for a person’s brain health. This new partnership will provide patient assessments to healthcare providers that will include a person’s physical and mental health needs in one.

Insightin Health, a big-data provider for healthcare member acquisition, retention and engagement, recently secured a partnership with Payspan last month.

“Both of our companies have been targeting and working with Medicare populations through health plans,” Insightin CEO Enam Noor told Technical.ly DC. “Mental healthcare plays a significant role and challenge for seniors. This was a natural add-on to our platform.”

Combining BrainFx’s assessment of cognitive data with member social determinants of health within the Insightin Health platform will provide the companies with a wider scope of a member’s full health, Noor said.

“Detecting milder or early changes in functional cognition leads to action –  first to determine if there are medical root causes that can be treated, second, to deliver early intervention when it can be most effective, and third to ensure that treatment plans are personalized and consumable by patients in a way that leverages their strengths for adherence,” Tracy Milner, Founder of BrainFx said in a statement.

The partnership is active as of today and users can access the BrainFX assessments through the Insightin Health platform.
